Well this is my first post. I am not sure what a
"blog" is really for but my roommate told me to try it out. I want to
start by saying that I am not the greatest writer or speller (I know what you
are thinking I am chasing the wrong dream). However I do know sports and I do
like talking them and maybe just maybe ESPN will discover this 'Diamond in the
Ruff'.
One reason I started this today was I was watching ESPN with
my roommate and they were talking about the second half of the NBA. What this
guy was saying I said almost verbatim before the season started. "The Heat
will win the east against Chicago because they have chemistry, Chicago better
get the #1 seed because they can't win on the road as well." I am always
giving my predictions and making my arguments about all sports to my roommates
and they notice I am right or say similar things the "experts" say. I
will try to get all my thoughts and predictions on here. Also if I spark any
question, debate, or disagreement let me know.
March Madness is coming up and I can't wait. I would love to
see my beloved Gators get their 3rd but I will keep it real and keep my dreams
out of here. So here is my take:
-Kentucky is very talented but we will see how they do in a
tournament setting, however I do think they will do very well in the tourney
and right now I am giving them my nod
-Mizzu depending on seeding will be in it the chip with UK,
their defense is just to stout and they can score. They are also a very
experienced team with a very good coach
-Syracuse will be the disappointment in the tourney, I
expect them to do ok but not make it past the sweet 16 messing up a few
brackets. We already saw how much Fab Melo means to the team, so they should
hope he will be there and healthy
-Not sure how much of stretch this will be but my surprise
team is Kansas, I like the top 2 talents they have in Robinson and Taylor. The
thing they bring to the table than say Cuse and definitely Kentucky doesn't is
experience.
I believe this year will be one of the greatest years in
golf. Players to watch will be Phil, Tiger, and I can see a few no names or
already established young players coming out (Rory). Tiger will get a major
this year if not 2, I have been saying he will have his comeback in Augusta and
I think it is this year.
Baseball's bug stories this year: Pujols to the Angels I
like but that wasn't the only piece to the puzzle they got this off season.
C.J. Wilson added to the already good rotation is a great pick up and they will
do good this year. The Tigers adding Prince to an already good lineup and a
good stable of pitchers they will win the central. Now to the NL MVP testing
positive for banned substances and STILL DENYING IT. Ryan I do not believe you
nor am I mad or upset you used roids, I personally say let them all use them.
When they start looking 60 at 40 and all of their livers start failing they
will back off and until then we can see some exciting baseball. But it is
against the rules right now so if you are going to break the rules you should
be punished. What I don't like is dishonesty, I know he can't admit it but he
is so animatedly denying it and he clearly got caught. Also it is BS that he
got acquitted on a stupid technicality.
I personally can't wait for this year’s NFL draft, Luck and
RGIII both could go #1. I really hope Peyton stays in Indy so whichever QB they
take (I like RGIII more than Luck) will have one of the greatest to learn from.
Also I would like to see Peyton play for Indy his whole career. But like I have
said I will keep it real on here so here is my prediction. Peyton will be let
go and probably go to Washington OR Miami (being a Cowboys fan I am hoping he
wants to be warm). Luck will be the #1 pick and the Rams will cash in on that
second pick by someone trading up for RGIII.
LeBron is my MVP of the year so far, I know you are thinking
I am bias or he is surrounded by talent so why is he the MVP. Yes I do like
LeBron and yes he is surrounded by talent but look at his numbers. He has
started and played every game but 1 this first half of the season, he averages
2+ mins than Wade, he is second in scoring for the league. He has stepped up
his post game and is taking far less 3s. He is shooting 54% from the field and
41% from beyond the arch. Yes his free throws are not good and that is one
thing I think he should be better than that but he is shooting over his career
average. He is leading his team, who by the way has the co best record in the
NBA, in assists and has 8.1 rpg behind Bosh who has 8.3 rpg.
Alright I am going to stop rambling for now. Like I said
this is my first post so it is a little raw and drawn out but I promise they
will get better. Which is why feedback is much appreciated, this is my ticket
to the show (hear that EAPN I am waiting).
